These earrings reference the bronze grand staircase that was a preeminent interior architectural feature in the impressive and spacious main showroom of the former Auburn Automobile Company, in 1929. Today, it is the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum. It is a fine example of art deco industrial design—modern, symmetrical, and theatrically aesthetic.
