Similar to a piece in Kirkland Museum's permanent collection, these lidded pots by Bob Smith feature a low rounded bodies and lids with two asymmetrical, jagged "antlers." High-gloss raku finish in tones of red and yellow-orange with fine black crackling.

About the Artist:

Bob Smith has been a working studio potter for over 40 years, and is well-known for making raku vessels that are unique, architectural, and refined. "Silhouette and form, with a quiet contained presence," he says, "have always been my major concerns." His work is included in Kirkland Museum's permanent collection.
