Born in rural Indiana in 1930, Mangold started working on wind-driven sculpture as early as 1958—shortly before he moved to Colorado. This brief book features an introductory essay by John B. Woodward III, drawing on interviews with the artist as well as archival materials. Includes 14 pages of full color plates detailing Mangold's sculptures as well as numerous additional drawings and photos.
